Adirondack Lean To

A conceptual interior design and interior decorating project, this summer getaway combines the new and old to create a modern take on the local staple. Lean To’s have been synonymous with adventure on the Adirondack lakes for generations and this one is no different. With a crows nest lofted bedroom and views sweeping out over the lake it’s the perfect place for relaxation or entertaining.

As the warmer months approach we find ourselves craving a relaxing space to sit and enjoy the weather. When you live in a condo it can be hard to find that outdoor oasis but for this client we were able to take the existing space and create a layout with newly selected furniture that made their porch a great entertaining space. Now we can expect to find them making cocktails at their new outdoor bar for friends and relaxing while the smoker cooks the barbecue.

Kitchen Finish Selections

Kitchens are the center of a busy home and are often where we spend a large portion of our day. In this kitchen’s case a rejuvenation of the finishes was just what it needed to not only feel fresh but function better for the family using it. The finish selections proposed kept the lightness of white upper cabinets while meeting trends of the time and protecting from stains with dark lower cabinets. Granite counter tops will take the place of the home’s original plastic laminate work areas, creating a more polished look and a heat safe work surface for the household baker to put to good use.
